The Bight to Indians and back.
Leverick Bay to Bitter End and back.
Not sure if these are considered long for a small RIB.

If you haven't already, check out this book--"Adrift: 76 Days Lost At Sea" (1986)by Steven Callahan --his "dinghy" ride probably set the record.

Love " Adrift"..my longest dinghy ride was CGB to Sandy Cay where the soft bottom dinghy bent in half in the waves submerging the motor..after paddling back to Sandy Cay and being officialy marooned it took us a couple of hours to flag down a passing bareboat who took us back..turns out he was from Sonoma and knew my family there..we took him to Bomba's and got him drunk as a thank you!!!

We took Kittytonic all over Bermuda last weekend. Didn't make it all the way to Hamilton or Dockyard from St. Georges, but probably covered a good 30 miles in a day between going from dive site to dive site and then finding the best sunset beaches.

My longest dinghy ride was when I was about 14 years old. One of my jobs in those days was to keep the dinghy bailed, clean and uh...fueled. It takes a while for a skinny 14 year old to row from the caves to the other side of The Bight into the wind with an angry father

Back in 1982 when I lived on St. John I went with a group on a sailboat over to Jost for a party on a Sunday. When we were going back there was no wind and the engine died. We towed the sailboat behind the dinghy all the way to ST. John....took all night! There was a couple on board with 2 small children ...they didn't want them to miss school.

Many years ago BN (before Nick) we were anchored at Leverick and they were out of ice. Dinghied over to Bitter End to get some. One thing drink to another and it was dark when we headed back. Just as we turned in towards Leverick the motor quit. Oars were worthless as we drifted past Anguila Point. Just off Cows Mouth I looked down and saw the plastic gas tank had imploded. Opened the vent and motored back to Leverick.

Talking about a dinghy towing a sailboat: we were moored at Marina Cay one morning when a ~ 28 ft wooden sailboat came in under sail (no motor, motorless, de boat had no motor) and pulled into the mooring field. The man at the wheel dropped his sails and let a lady off in a dinghy with oars. She rowed up near the Marina Cay dock and warded off any comers. The man put the sails back up and made a quick lap through the mooring field to gather speed. He headed for the dock, dropped the sails and coasted in "ala Captain Ron" style. It was a smooth move. They got their provisions (water?) and off they went.
