I debated as to whether or not to post due to so many negative comments. But I feel really badly that the good guys tend to get painted with the same broad brush as the idiots.

Blue Water Rush Water Sports in Virgin Gorda are doing a really good job with their jet skis based at Leverick Bay and if you had any idea what it has taken for these two young men to get to where they are so far ... you (and I mean the royal "you" and nobody in particular) might speak a little more kindly towards jet skis.

I don't believe lifting the ban would be a good thing either. Not all operators are going to be as responsible as the boys in Virgin Gorda. However, not everyone who rides a jet ski is a moron.

Unfortunately, like many other things, one bad apple tends to spoil the bunch. I did a write up on them on my web site and made a few points that I think are important for boaters to keep in mind.

I really hope they are successful in their efforts to become established and that they won't automatically be lumped in with others who don't make much effort to regulate and oversee the behaviour of their users.

Liane,

I too hesitated in posting. I am no fan of jets skis and wouldn't want to see them throughout the BVI. Having said that, when my wife at I were at Euphoria Villa in December, I was amazed at how quiet the jet skis out of Leverick were. I couldn't believe it! Nevertheless, they are an exception.

Hmmmm.... how to say something about Jet Ski's in a positive way...

Safer than giving a two year a loaded handgun to play on the trampoline with!

There! I did it!

how about, they are just damn fun to ride, in a safe area of course.
Your reference to guns and jet skis is just plain weird

Off the coast of San Juan most jet ski accidents with swimmers are hit and run leaving the victim wounded in the water.
