Club Orient Rates?
      #1439412 - 09/05/12 04:26 PM (75.241.169.113)

Did Club Orient raise rates? I thought the studio was 135 euros where now it is 140 euros.

Posted rates this time of year are 170 euros for studios and mini suites. Any tips on how to find them lower than that would be appreciated (staying less than 7 nights, so no AANR discount).

That is right. At first I thought it was to compensate for lower Euro, but I think the rate is back inline with last winter, so definitely a price rise. Not sure where the inflation comes from.

It used to be that the price for Club O is the price for Club O is the price for Club O. They said in one of their emails that they might be reducing prices on periods of low occupancy at some point in the future, but that is no guarantee at all. If you HAVE to stay at Club O, basically you have to pay the rates. Realistically, if you're pinching pennies, stay somewhere else, which you can do for a h*ll of a lot cheaper. Just stay down the beach somewhere and go to the beach at Club O every day. You have to rent chairs, but you can get lots of stuff lots cheaper than Club O.

We've stayed at Palm Court and Alamanda, but never at Club O, so thought we try it for a few days. We spent most of our time down there anyway, and figured we'd save ourselves the walk (and cost of the daily chair rental) this time.

We recognize that the prices are higher, but we are able to be 100% textile free for the duration of our stay, barring taxi trips to a grocery store. This is how we live at home, and the many advantages of staying at Club O make it worthwhile for us. If you are really not a naturist, and do cover up frequently, I would suggest you consider other spots, get to the beach daily, and take shelter in Papagayo during a storm.

Yes, Jenny is quite hostile for a nudist.

The rates and the dates for next summer (6/1 thru 10/25) are the same as they were this summer. For a m-s or studio it's 140 Euros, with our TNS membership we paid 126. The listed prices for all other accomadations also remain the same.

I'm just an interloper here but I didn't see anything even remotely hostile; seems like good advice. Can't wait to sail to SXM next year!

I would freeze to death being textile-free at home! Going to be 80 today & I'm in the house with a sweatshirt, jeans, & fuzzy socks!

There is no place like Club O. Location, ambience, reserved chairs, grocery store, immaculate a/c unit almost on beach and of course 100% au natural. There have been numerous improvements over the yrs. It is your loss if you can't handle paying a litle more. People still splurge for air fares. We will be staying for our 4th time this June. We're previous timeshare owners but have been liberated. Great friendly staff at Club O too. They always welcome us back.
