Resorts in Las Vegas
      #1471598 - 01/20/13 10:16 PM (65.13.175.190)

We have a trip planned to Las Vegas in August 2013, and will be staying at a Casino hotel. Can anyone recommend a nude resort in the area for a day visit? Also, any idea what the weather (temp wise) would be in August? Thanks

Thanks Carol- But it's a "dry" heat right lol. At least it shouldn't be 100 degress and 100% humidity like we get here in South Louisiana.

If it's only 100 degrees in Vegas in August ... that's a nice day!

Temps will run in the 112-118 or higher range, but it cools down at night to about 92-98!

No nude resorts in Vegas that we are aware of and we've looked and looked. Some of the Casino hotels, the larger more expensive ones, have a European Pool Deck but according to some nudist friends, it's not turned out like "we" thought ... or rather ... it did turn out as we thought.

Seems these European Pool Decks are not typically visited by "nudists" but for those that want to be seen and those willing to pay $75 a head to look! Many of these pool decks became over run by single guys and that was the reason for the $75 charge, which has lessened the amount of guys but not the reasons people use them.

It's too bad, Vegas lends itself well for a nude resort but sadly ... there are none. Your best bet, if you really want some naked time outside; go to Lake Mead, rent a boat for the day, find yourself a nice little cove and get naked.

We are boaters/PWC'ers so this is how we get our fix while in Vegas.

Have a good time!

Renting one of those houseboats on Lake Mead has always sounding intruiging to me.

I was afraid that there wasn't any. I have an old edition (#22 printed in 2005) of the AANR N.A. Guide to Nude Recreation that lists Nevada Club Rancho in Jean, Nevada. Jean,NV appears to be about 10 miles South of Las Vegas, so it looked promising. Unfortunately their website (www.rancho.com) is no longer, and Google turns up nothing.

Precisely why we prefer Palm Springs to Vegas. Hands down, Palm Springs is way better than Vegas. They have a casino downtown if you want to gamble too!

We were in Las Vegas one time when the temps were 100 AND it was only April. They warned us that it's a dry heat. Bull! As we walked down the Strip, the bus exhausts felt like they would melt our legs off!!! It's still a HOT heat.

We've rented houseboats on Lake Powell and Lake Mohave but haven't done so on Lake Mead. Close, non nudist, friends had a boat for a while and frequented Lake Mead and told me that they saw tons of naked people on the lake.

We are waiting for a couple of people in our group to retire, my wife and one other female, both in education. Once that happens, we aren't tied to the calendar and we have talked about a nude houseboat trip. They are lots of fun. It's a lot like camping on the water. There's a little bit of work but even the clothed/covered trips we took were well worth it. A nude houseboat trip would be awesome and it's definately on all our bucket lists.

We visited the resort in Jean, NV I thin k in 2004. I believe it was called the Las Vegas Sun Club. Anyway, Jean is 10 miles from Vegas in the middle of nowhere and the Sun Club was down a very long and dead end road just beyond the middle of nowhere and next to the Federal land reserve - 100's of miles of desert. The 'club' was a house with a couple of sheds for guests, a little community room and pool.

Lake Mead has never been quite the same since Pamela Anderson & Tommy Lee's Houseboat Family Vacation came out in video back in the 1990's.

We're trying to find a nudist friendly home in Vegas to open as a C/O B&B. We'll let you know as soon as we get one set up...we think it would really be successful! Fireprof does too!!
