No, actually not. Indiana Jones was where the Greenhouse is now.

Along time ago I remember going to a place in that general area called Felix. It was a pretty nice place and there wasn't that much other choices in the area then. Any one know what's there now or if anything is? It was just before you turned in to Pelican as I remember but it was a long time ago.

While people are remembering, does anyone remember the old Marriott and where it was? I think it was in the Nettle Bay area, probably around 30 years ago.

I remember Felix restaurant. It was a great place. The Greenhouse is now where Felix used to be.

When we first went to SXM, there was a car rental place there. Then it was all cleaned out and BBB was built in that location.

Who remembers the "Lady Mary" and what the former owner is now doing?

Trying to think back here and while I know for a fact the Mullet Bay Resort and Casino was run for a while by/as a Sheraton, I seem to recall someone telling me it was also run by/as a Marriott for a while. I honestly do not recall this - so it may or may not be a fact. The mind is a terrible thing to lose....

You know me I love old pics and memories!

What made the Simpson Bay area so special for us was not what has happening at night at Indiana Jones, but what happened very early in the morning at this place.

William and Philippe were up early making some very special treats. A cup of coffee and pastry with a little discussion was always the best way to start a day on SXM.

I still have this handwritten note by Philippe telling us where to go to dinner.

We hit Bistro and Tropicana during our stay, and had unforgettable meals. Do not know what happened to William and Philippe, but they were definitely part of the SXM magic for us.

Pictures were taken the first week of October 2000

Le Pavillion was down by the church in Simpson Bay just a little bit before it on the left. The last time I was down there it was an empty lot. They had great food & you used to cross over the little bridge to get to the restaurant it was a beautiful setting. It was destroyed during Hurricane Luis but it had already gone downhill because the owner & his wife had split & he was really hitting the bottle which of course affected the food. I think we went there the first time in the late 80's. His wife went over to help start Rancho's when it first opened & then of course they lost their whole roof, which just lifted off, in Luis. If you go to Rancho's now you will see how that roof is affixed I don't think it would come off again so easily.... Felix's restaurant was the first place to occupy where Greenhouse now is & then it became Indiana Jones & then Greenhouse. Felix's had the best Rack of Lamb & Chateaubriand for two....

Royal Palm was a Marriott recommended resort for awhile & there was a sign by the bridge for a few years. I never remember Mullett being under them & our business did & still does a good majority of the Marriott room pictures & we did not do Mullett.
