Hey Cincy - I had 2 neat experiences in Cincinnati. Had dinner with the 1st American to own a house on St Barts. He used to print a newsletter which was the only way I got news about SBH before the internet. Neat guy.

I met Boomer Esiason in the Bengals locker room, and he had his son, Gunnar, with him. As you may know, Boomer established a charitable foundation for cystic fibrosis, and we donated money to that charity as his son was born with it. I maintained contact with Boomer for a number of years.

One interesting fact about Cincinnati that most folks have no idea about is that the Cincy airport is in Kentucky. Also nice views from the city's hills.

Well you have my sympathies for the clothing store thing. I know there is nothing easy about that business.

Absolutely things have improved with survival rates and much better outcomes. So many things changed in that time frame. Most of the changes are good. I loved my job throughout my career, I know most people can't say that and it was never, ever boring.

For 16 years I worked as an electrician for the railroad. Southern RR, then after the merger, Norfolk Southern. For the last 20 years I have worked at the only USA BMW manufacturing Facility where the X3, X4, X5 and X6 are made for the world. I am not involved in making the cars, but work in the Capital Projects Group responsible for managing all BMW related construction in the Americas. Looking to retire in 3 years, 10 months, not that I'm counting or anything.

I am a freight forwarder, about half domestic and half international. Office in Portland Oregon and operations also in Hawaii. Deal in mostly higher priority freight, bigger ticket items.

Packages to the people, making the world a better place one package at a time!

Cheers,
T

TV Production became a school activity when I was 14. Been involved in it one way or another since then. Currently in charge of the crew that puts together one of TV's most watched shows. Been at the same company for 32 years now.

I drove a local delievery truck for about the first ten years of my working life. Then the company went belly-up, and I went to school for a couple of years, while working parttime jobs and keeping my houshold together during those lean times.

After school I became a IT person, and have been for the last 25 years.

Next up... Retierment!!

The mention of a summer job brings up 2 interesting summers for me. 1965 I worked in the green pea harvest in Dayton, WA for the Jolly Green Giant - 12 hours per day 7 days per week of hard field labor. Dayton is just a little north of Walla Walla.

Ha! I have driven through Dayton a few times. Beautiful country.

Todd does project controls for a pipeline contractor. I am the payroll administrator for an engineered lumber plant. We have worked in some sort of accounting for most of our working lives.

Our dream would be to do catering because we love to cook. It just doesn't support the lifesytle we want...

Todd keeps threatening to cash in his 401k and buy a food truck.....
