That was just a crazy game! Of course, I'm also elated about the Tarheels win. I just hope that whatever possessed the Villanova players leaves them by Monday.

I can't begrudge NC that victory, they definitely earned it! It was quite an exciting time watching 10th seed Syracuse claw their way up the ladder to get as far as they did.

Good luck to NC in the championship game...

Carolina always gives me a heart attack in the first half, as they seem to start slow. With Syracuse being known for comebacks, I wasn't really confident until there were only a couple of minutes left in the game.

Two all time records were set yesterday. Nova's win was the single biggest point spread in the Final 4. Both games together provided the largest margin of victory for the 2 semifinal games.

Guess I'll be watching the TV Monday night and hope that Nova isn't on fire like there were last night.

Tonight is the night, and I have to believe that the large majority of the US could care less. I've been to 3 of these champ games, and for fans of college basketball, it is quite an event. In two of those champ games I attended, my team was not playing.

i don't care so much about the games themselves, but the free shows by Flo-Rida, Pit Bull, and Maroon 5 were pretty cool yesterday

charlieh: I went to two West Regionals at BYU back in the 70's when they played for places one through four. After each game, except the last one, the loosing teams fans where outside selling the remainder of their tickets because you had to by a complete subscription. So the smart local fans would wait by the exits and wait for the losers who would be glad to sell their remaining tickets because they couldn't care less about the rest of the outcomes. Now they had cheap seats for the rest of the Regional. (Correction: they played for the first four places),
One more thing. I was there when Idaho State a low seed beat top ranked UNLV. The game wasn't memorable but the outfits worn by their fans were. Male Idaho State rooters looked like the Marlboro Man and the women had on sheep skin outfits with high-heal boot. On the UNLV the men did their best to look like Elvis and the women like Show Girls. Quite a site to behold.

charlieh: I should have told you that the format for the regionals was different then. There were eight teams to a regional.

I should have told you that Idaho State dispatched Tark's Rebels on the first night of the Regionals, making it the biggest upset of the year.
