Heading to GC in Nov. and staying at the Caymen Reef Resort on 7 Mile Beach. Since there is a small kitchen in the condo, my thought is to pick up food supplies for a quick breakfast or lunch. Any places you can recommend? Also, I've heard there's a place nearby called Chicken Chicken that is great for a very casual lunch or dinner. Is that still open?

There is a large Fosters supermarket near the airport.

Appreciate the information.
Any recommendations for local car rentals?

I've gotten good rates online from Avis and the airport location makes it very convenient.
You won't need a very large car, but do get an automatic.

I know someone who used Andy's and I read where another person used them too. Anybody here use them?

I used Andy's once for a 1 day rental. It was fine. The next visit to GC, I booked online with Avis as I got about the same rate and a better car plus more convenient at the airport.

Thanks again. I'm not sure how long to rent a car. I know I'll need one to do an initial food shopping run on day #1, but not sure if I should get one for the entire week. We're hoping to get into Georgetown for a couple of nights but may take the bus that I'm told stops outside our condo.
I assume Georgetown is the place to go if we wanted to go out and have a couple of drinks at night?

As mentioned, there is a Fosters Food Fair at the Airport Centre shopping center near the airport. There is an even nicer one located at the Strand Shopping center on West Bay Rd. in Seven Mile Beach, not far from the Cayman Reef Resort. Kirk's supermarket is also close by, just over in George Town. Yes, Chicken! Chicken! is still open.
If staying on SMB, than a car rental for a few days to explore is island is all you'll need. I have used Andy's, Budget, Thrifty and Dollar. All are fine, just shop for best price. The bus (mini vans really) can take you to shopping areas and into George Town.
There a plenty of places on Seven Mile Beach to go for a drink and no real need to go to George Town, unless there is a particular place you want to try.
Look at menus with pricing for many restaurants, along with maps of locations here: http://www.caymangoodtaste.com/

I'm staying at Morritt's Grand Resort on the East end. Any grocery stores out that way?

There is a Fosters Express (mini-supermarket) in the strip center across the street. All the basics, including produce, dairy, and meat. If planning on eating in most of the time it is advisable to stop at the full-size Hurley's or Foster's supermarkets on the way out to Morritts and use the Express for forgotten or consumed items.
