The Center for Disease Control has posted a travel alert about St. Martin. There is a significant mosquito-borne infection. See news story and also the official WHO notice .

So far two reported cases on the French Side. Not an epidemic or anything.

To prevent an epidemic they choosed to warn people about it.. It's far worst than the dengue.

This was reported here a few days ago so people are aware and can take precautions. It hopefully will not evolve into an epidemic.

Thank you for posting this. The prior post was titled "WHO notification"so people might not have noticed it. While there were only 2 confirmed cases, there were 4 suspected and 20 possible. Both residents and tourists need to be aware.
