Annapolis Boat Show - Oct - 2015
      #1623160 - 01/06/15 08:56 AM (209.145.84.226)

We are thinking about going this year for the first time. Lots of B&B's and hotels are already booked. Nothing like planning ahead! Do you have any suggestions for a place to stay for two couples? I'd like it to be some where we can take a shuttle or walk to bars and restaurants. Thanks!

If you really want to walk to bars/restaurants, you'll need to be closer to the show. Get ready to spend big bucks! We fly into Baltimore, rent a small car, and stay at a hotel out near highway 50. We drive in and pay the parking fee, usually about $10, then walk to the show. Planning to go to this year's show and shop for boat gear.

We just stayed at the downtown Annapolis Westin at Westgate Circle and West Street for the Military Bowl. There's a free trolley at the hotel that runs every 10 minutes or so. We also walked to the waterfront from the hotel and it was easy. There are a lot of shops and restaurant/bars on West Street and again on Main. There's also a Loews Hotel on West Street even closer to town.

Annapolis Harbor area doesn't have a lot of hotel inventory. The Annapolis Residence Inn has availability, parking and a shuttle. You'll see some familiar faces there from charter company teams.

Stayed at the O'Callaghan Hotel a few times for the show. On West Street, just down from the Ram's Head Tavern. Highly recommended.
