Just returned from a week dive trip to Bonaire. Wife and I were with a group of 8 and stayed at Buddy Dive Resort. A few notes and comments. Transportation. Air Jamaica didn't make the trip easy with tight transfers in Montego Bay and delayed luggage(4 days)for 2 of the group. Buddy Dive was great and lent them free of charge any dive equipment they needed. Resort. Can't speak highly enough of Buddy Dive. Everyone from reception, dive arrrangements, food, etc, was wonderful. They couldn't do enough and the place was geared for divers, but non-divers could have fun too. We had an unlimited dive package with 4 door pickups to throw the gear in. They had a drive through tank exchange that was really neat. Even had Nitrox. First time Nitrox diver and it made the diving easier and more pleasant. We did several dives right from the resort and even did some night dives. At night the Tarpons swooped all around us because they were using our lights to see other fish. This was the best diving we've had ever and the easiest. Dove all over the island. 5 stars. The island. Bonaire is very Dutch, with an international flair. All signs are in Dutch, but English is spoken everywhere. It's a dry island, with great windsurfing on the windward side on Lac Bay. There's also a naturalist resort there too. There's not much shopping and the prices weren't a bargain. Prices for food in the markets were high too, so it was easier to eat out. We ate well and the quality of the restaurants was surprisingly good. Overall, a great time. Would go back in a minute. Pete and Janet Terry
