If it's a beermergency for beer geeks and you're flying into STT, you can get a good selection at the Crown Bay Gourmet Gallery on the way to the Charlotte Amalie ferry terminal or Food Center on the way to Red Hook. Gourmet Gallery has had some very fresh Belgian Beers, especially Duvel (thanks Capt. Jay!). Ignore their online provisioning lists, the good stuff is not on there. I've seen cans of Sierra Nevada Torpedo IPA at Food Center.
If it helps, there are a couple of English ciders available in the BVI. I'm a long time beer geek and keep my eye out for interesting beers. Sometimes Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is as good as it gets. The rum is generally better. Beer and wine have some traveling challenges in the VI if they are not stored reasonably. I make do with yellow fizzy beer and Guinness and the Caribbean Stouts.
All of the bottled beer sold under the various labels as local beer in the Virgin Islands is contract brewed in the US. Blackbeard/Foxys (same product) is/was brewed at Minhas in Wisconsin. St. John Brewers brands are brewed at Shipyard in Maine.
