Are there any updates on the sand status at Club O? We are arriving in about three weeks and were just wondering if the beach has started to return near the Perch?

In 17 trips, we have never seen so little sand in front of Club O. Not sure how they will cope during high season.

Beginning to return, but that's just today. Tomorrow it could be gone. Eroding drastically near Papaguyos, less than 5 feet from Chalet patios. One row of chairs until about 50 feet past the Perch, then beach widens to 3 rows in the middle.

Wow! We're staying in a Waterfront Chalet in February, sounds like we'll be closer to the water than we thought! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Yikes.gif" alt="" />

It's really only affecting the 2 Chalets right next to Papaguyos, so far.

More sand was being hauled in and tractored over the edge to widen the area between #47 and the wash-out. This was done about 5 to 6 days ago too. Mother Nature is busy doing what it will.

We were there from Sept. 13th to the 26th after a 2 yr. absence and were shocked at the drop offs in front of Orange Fever on the beach and in the water, and the narrowness at the far end of Orient. (Papagayos) The seaweed situation was not an issue except for one day during our entire stay. So much seaweed everywhere, in the water and on the beach. It was thick even under the beach chairs. The next day it was completely gone. If you mention it to anyone that works there on the beach, the response is very French...kind of, c'est la vie. Kind of refreshing. It's nature...there is nothing you can really do about it. Enjoy your stay and have a BBC!
