Thanks everyone for replying to some feedback on bikinis. Sis and I purchased them online. We even recieved them already. Love them. The name of the site is www.adabeachwear.com if anyone is interested. We r heading down March 5th and staying at blue bay beach. Has anyone everstayed there. We paid alot and we hope its nice. THis is our first time to st martin. Would appreciate feedback on things to do, places to eat. We mostly like the beach during the day. Thanks Any happy hours anywhere?

We stayed at Blue Bay Beach in January and were very happy with our choice. Our room, 121, was a third floor room and we had a partial view of the beach from the balcony and could hear the surf. The small pool is quite nice and while we were there it was seldom used. There is a path from the side of the hotel directly to the beach for easy access. You can walk to the "Orient Village" area for the grocery store and restaurants. As for happy hour, in a ll honestly we had one on the balcony pretty much every afternoon after spending much of the day at the beach.

We had dinner one night at Cote Plages in the village and had an excellent meal. Not such good luck at Little Italy in the same area as the service was about as bad as it gets and the food was just so-so. Other than that we had more late lunches than dinners but there are plenty of places in the area you can walk to.

Hope this helps and you can send a message if you want any specifics.

Friends we met here in St Martin stay there at least 2x a year. They love it and think the management could not be more accommodating. We will still be here when you arrive so if you want send me a private message and i can meet you at LaPlaya and let you know what we like after coming to Orient Beach for 18 years

You should check out this thread which I had separated from your other question about bikinis, for some input on Orient. I thought you were staying at Esmeralda? Guess you changed your mind?

The only one who posted the link to adabeachwear is lara1994. The link to it was posted in 2 different threads so he/she may be a sneaky vendor.

since you're staying at Orient too bad you wasted time and money on a new bikini.

Not only was the link posted to different threads by the same person but that person also has a bathing suit named after them on the website. Is it just me or does something seem fishy about the the OP's name being LARA and a bathing suit style on the website being named LARA?

If it is a vendor, their rudeness displayed would prevent me from supporting their website and would lead me to never recommend their product.

I think its past your bedtime, get over it, I thought it was a coincidence also, my sister actually bought that one. If you are in st martin on March 5 to 12, you can see her wearing it, Mr. Sherlock. Good nite

I suppose it's also a coincidence that Ada Beachwear's Facebook page shows their grand opening on Feb 20th, the same day that you registered with TTOL and made your first post asking about online bikini sites.

I checked the site out and thought the quality of the suits looked cheap and they were unattractive as well as the prices being high. When I looked the discount was 30% which still made the suits expensive.

Macys & Lord & Taylor are two stores I've frequented for swim wear that offer quality suits which are almost always on sale at less than $100 for a two piece. Swimsuitforall usually come in between $50-$70 but run sales often where two pieces can be had for $39. Quality is excellent.

Funny. I thought this one was a troll from day one. Who goes on a travel site for the first time asking about bathing suits. No mention of size or style. I have no issues with canceling and changing hotels. But rather rude response. especially when everyone here has tried to just help a supposed "newbie"!

I don't know what the truth of this matter is. However I do know that there is nothing in this thread that is about the original subject, so we will close it here.
