Sitting here sipping my coffee, and really missing the daily reports from Pat! Anyone on island right now who can step up and give us our fix? <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Grin.gif" alt="" />

I think we should all pool our money and send her back to the island. LOL

She'd go! She'd go in a heart-beat!! But I wish you'd made the suggestion before I unpacked and did all the laundry! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/jester.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/jester.gif" alt="" />

Seriously, it was my pleasure to provide the daily diversions and I understand how they can brighten a day when it's dreary and miserable and your own trip is months and months away.

This is why I encourage all those who could or might.....to jump right in and do it - it's painless and really doesn't take much time and while I can't speak for anyone else, I read every single one that people put up. Even after all our many years and many more trips, it's amazing there is ALWAYS something new to learn about this place we love. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/handshake.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/handshake.gif" alt="" />

Respectfully,

Our trip to St. Martin is still 37 days out, so I can't help with the diversions just yet. But I plan to continue my tradition of daily postings during our trip.

My postings, entitled "Good Evening From Mont Vernon" are mostly just my thoughts and introspection, with a bit of traditional 'Trip Reporting' and of course photos thrown in for good measure.

This year we are on the island for three weeks. I hope to be able to start posting the day we depart from our home headed to the airport, and wrap it up after our arrival back home.

It is my hope that you will enjoy reading them, as much as I will enjoy writing them.

Have not been registered on this board for long, but came in and out to check happenings while off Island. Have been visiting the island since the mid 80s, and so really up on most goings on... I have to say!!! amazing that you actually take the time to report your trip, and in such detail. Not sure I could take the time and so detailed. I get the feeling you either were a book writer in a previous life, or are a frustrated one now... Its quite a gift to be able to put into words all that you do and feel while on Island... Perhaps a book is in the making? I know the feeling about leaving St.M. to come home to the real world. bravo pat....
