We have a brand new Jeaneau 519 at CYOA Yacht Charters. It is a three cabin boat with a huge master forward. The aft cabins are very large and the starboard aft has private access to the large aft head. Not quite a full two master boat but it is not likely that you are going to find a true two cabin in charter. In boats this size we actually prefer four cabins normally. It will have a highfield aluminum rib with a yamaha 15 for the tender.

Horizon has a very nice boat - Patriche II, I believe is the name - Jeanneu 50 DS - friends chartered her last month and loved her. Two big master staterooms and very nicely fitted out. Even the cockpit cushions looked gorgeous - not the standard charter boat cushions but looked like the ones that were actually fitted for the boat!

Hi Mike,
It was us that Bridget was talking about that had Patriche II last month. She is beautiful and Horizon is a great company to work with. If you PM me your email address I can send you some pics!

Yes, the Caps is a problem in that once I start typing I don't look up at the screen until I am all done my note.If the caps button was on then it is too late to re- type it,as its not that important anyway

Captain jay,
I have had a brand new Beneteau 473 a few years ago and it had the wonderfull cabin forward and two smaller "crawl in " cabins in the back....My good friends got stuck with the little cabins and I swore I would nevr subject my friends to that again ..the next year we were only two couples aas opposed to the three couples the first year on the 473 ..so that next year with only two couples I chartered a jeaneau 45 center cockpit and the one returning couple got the aft cabin which was huge and I took the forward cabin which is about the size on your 51 footer you mentioned.. they were thrilled and even had a bathtub... so I need two big mail cabins which is why I mentioned a HYLAS as they seem to take good care of both the captain and his wife plus the second couple .. thanks and please let me know if anyone comes up with another boat with two or even three main cabins as I can always find a third couple to go
Thanks again to everyone

Have you considered a cat? That would certainly solve your cabin issues and I think it would be the only way to get 3 similar cabins.

If there ends up being a flotilla in 2018, we are obsessing on that boat! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Laugh.gif" alt="" />

Mike I understand. The 473 was a nice boat but the newest generation of Beneteau and Jeanneau boats are different animals with the beam carried much further aft. The 50 DS in a two cabin would be huge though lacking in head room aft. We used to have a three cabin 49DS in our fleet which was the same boat with a shorter sticker on the side :-). It had the aft owners suite. There just are not many large mono's in two cabin layout in charter. The last one we had was a Hunter 450 center cockpit that Twanger loved. That thing had a bath tub in the aft cabin and six feet of head room in the whole boat.

It was an awesome boat, had no issues with it at all and the cockpit is huge for get-togethers!

Saw the Flotilla 2018 idea on FB today.....have to make that one work for sure! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Grin.gif" alt="" />

You're not going to find a Hylas in charter. Beneteau, Jenneau, Hunter, and Bavaria will make up 90+% of the monohull charter fleet. If you don't like those boats you should consider going with a boat for hire perhaps. Or go to a larger cat which will give you plenty of room in every cabin. You will find very few 45+ foot monohulls with only two cabins. They exist but there are not many.

As the new boats carry their beam all the way to the aft the 51 Capt Jay mentions is very roomy in the aft cabins - not a bad place to be whatsoever. We were three couples on my Beneteau 45 last Oct. - everyone was happy with it and the 51 is even larger. I've seen that boat at the boat shows and I'd take one of the aft cabins any day. If it was me and I couldn't find a 2 cabin I would feel pretty good about a large 3 cabin. Especially if it were nicely equipped with a water maker and genny/AC.

Life's short - sail more!
