From the pictures I have seen, I'm not surprised at all that they had to obtain new offices, as their office by the airport was basically demolished.

Also notice the statement "Winair repositioned our aircraft to St. Vincent prior to hurricane Irma". I guess they understood what was coming.

Wise move to move fleet grasshopper.

This Cat 5 Irma or any Cat 1, anyone who owns a plane or boat in SXM and surrounding islands ought to have a plan each year for moving out of the Hurricane Belt. Or pay the freight with Insurance. I cant see any insurance company worth a darn not taking in serious boat insurance premiums for boats in the belt.

As for fixed buildings, build as strong as you can and insure what you can if you can.

Pirate, the insurance companies refer to parts of the Caribbean as being in "the box".
