I’m guessing they still offer their ‘Boonies for the Day’ option? I hope so!!

Respectfully,

pat

That is really really great news! I was told yesterday in a email from Mark Cleveland (hotel owner) that Mary's Boon Hotel is now majority partner in the operation of the Restaurant and Bar and a new very experienced management team has taken over that part. Hotel operations remain as before. A total redo is going on now with new dining room and beach furniture and kitchen equipment and the new name of the Restaurant and Bar is now....The Boon Beach Bar & Restaurant. A new top locally popular chef as been hired and new menu in the works. They are open NOW for breakfast and lunch and they will open for dinner within the next 2 weeks. They are planning their normal big SUPER BOWL party on the beach with a huge TV screen and more TV's and new sound system though out the bar area. The former lessee of the restaurant (Raul) has returned to Florida on a new business that will bring him to SXM at times and Elena is still Hotel office manager. They have done an incredible job rebuilding after the hurricane and It all is very positive news for everyone involved and I can't wait to bet back to Mary's Boon hopefully in April.

Good news. Our vacation is a long time away but if they still offer their incredible lobster salad during lunch I'll go for a visit. The open air dining room is lovely.
