Sad to say but I've never tried either of these. Are they similar in taste to other fish- mahi mahi, grouper, or swordfish??

Red snapper is typically a very mild fish. I would compare it favorably to mahi mahi or grouper but not swordfish. While I like swordfish, I think it has a much firmer texture. I have never had wahoo so I can not comment on it.

My husband is a fish eater, I am not, he loves Wahoo. Mahi mahi is his favorite, unless they have Wahoo.

I have never eaten any of those fish except swordfish. Being from Massachusetts I eat cod and haddock. How do they compare to the previously mentioned?

the wahoo probably would be the closest to cod. I eat cod and haddock but on island I love the red snapper. One of the best I've had was at Rosemary's in Marigot waterfront near the open-air market. She offered it grilled or fried.

Somehow I always get to Marks thinking I'll try one of the many dishes people here say are "the best" and when I get there RIBS RIBS RIBS takes over my mind! I think I'll try Marks snapper next time to compare to Rosemary's in Marigot. Thanks for that info.

Had Grouper at Chesterfields last week and it was fantastic, and Sunday night had Red Snapper at Toppers and that was also one of the
best I've had.
