Just heard on the news that a couple missed boarding cruise ship in SXM. Wonder if they realize how lucky for them it was SXM

Yes, indeed, but they will likely have to catch up to the cruise sometimes before it ends, with likely little money and few clothing items.

They must have really been late. Cruises I've been on usually wait an extra half hour or so before taking off. I suppose two possible reasons could be stuck in traffic or they lost track of time in a casino.

Must have been having a really good time.
Hope they have the means to get room and also flights either home or to meet ship at some port.

We once had a cruise stop in St Maarten. Thought about not getting back on. Only thing got me back on that ship was thought of shopping in Sawgrass Mills.
