We often fly into SJU or STT and charter 2 planes to EIS (and reverse on the return trip). For those of you that have done similarly in the past, I'm curious if you tip the charter pilot? If so, do you mind sharing how much? Thanks!

Depends on the size plane you charter. For reference, we are booked at around $1600 for a 5 seater to Virgin Gorda. Island Birds has an excellent ground service crew at SJU and they make transferring there a breeze.

We are chartering a 9 seater and a 5 seater with Island Birds. EIS-SJU is just under $4000.00 total. We have used Air Sunshine charter and Capitol Air in the past. Hands down I would recommend Island Birds out of those options.

I'm assuming those are one way fares?

Mr. Cleobeach says he tipped $50 bucks each way for the three of us. We can fly to SJU far less expensive than STT so it takes the sting out of the charter cost. Now we are completely spoiled by the ease of travel and the direct to the water convince of paring down travel days.
