Yes, that is the new bar area that has been operational for some time and discussed previously. Not sure why the Daily Herald is doing a story (again) on it now. It does indicate it is a "temporary" situation (which I was told by an airline worker in Nov.) and will close and be redone as the airport progresses.

"The operation of the new wing is only temporary, airport officials told The Daily Herald on Friday morning. It is a final part of “Package One” of the airport’s reconstruction plan. The section will be closed when “Package Two” commences, as it will be remade for a new purpose as part of the reconstructed terminal building."

JD--who knows? I find that many 'stories' in the DH seem to be 'ads' for certain businesses. Just sayin'...

Very well could be. While it is a convenience, it also seems like a lot of wasted time and $$ for it to be temporary. Hopefully most of the structure can be used again.

It is a lot more seating and someone here said that the a/c at least seemed to work very well in that area, as compared to the other areas downstairs.

Why not do some of the inspections while work is in progress so they don't have to waste another 6 months to use it

Our experience a few weeks ago, it was quite chilly. Bring a sweater
