Someone mentioned that all flights from PHL, CLT and Miami to SXM and I presume back were cancelled until May 6th. AA site was down before but just got back on and see no actual confirmation of this. No point in trying to phone them. Lots of misinformation at present for obvious reasons as changing so fast, so trying to get actual clarification of this? Thx.

bran,

JD is correct. I checked my reservations for April and they still show everything as a go but if you take the time to read through the latest blurb on the AA website it clearly lists JFK, MIA and CLT flights for SXM as cancelled until May 6. You just need to do a little more digging to find the information.

I think a lot of the websites are not updating in a timely manner and with accurate information. I am sitting on 2 reservations (Non-AA) and I am not confident either will work at this point. I am not trying to be a smart-$$ but I have posted the same link 2-3 times and one may have to scroll, especially using a phone, to see the information. It is there and pretty clear, at least to me.

To me, too, JD. Their website has been off and on since yesterday. I can read the advisories and log in to check my own reservations, none of which have been up-dated to reflect the latest information, but I have been completely unable to get on the site to see if there are any flights actually available in the very near future - the little gizmo just keeps spinning along......... cloud

Well..............AA was down 5 minutes ago for me and now going haywire, or perhaps its my mind! Regardless, thx for this info as its important for another reason. My agent previously for the Villa we rent told me that they

would only reschedule. However under normal circumstances wouldn't mind, but at this stage feel more comfortable getting my money back(6K) as who know what the near future will bring. So I looked up my contract

and it states no refunds whatsoever except for Force Majeure, which includes if travel is affected(strikes, hurricanes floods etc plus airport closures(which I think this technically is) and they will make every effort to talk

with the owner to ask for a FULL refund, albeit not guaranteeing such. So just mentioning this for others who might be in a similar situation. I know AA wont give us a refund, perhaps though this will change but with the

trouble all airlines are in at present I doubt it. Just feel now that we should ourselves be in control of our finances and times we can travel as opposed to being dictated to during the uncertainty going on. I just dont feel

comfortable for example re-booking say for even May/June, so I have written to the Agent and will see what happens. I actually might not pay over half the amount mentioned(2.8K) which is due on my CC as the full

payment due to them at the end of this month or rather due to my CC Company. Not sure this is ethical to start with as built up a good relationship over the years with the Agent or appealing with the CC Company due to Force Majeure, but I'm no expert on this legally. Thoughts on this to the more experienced here?

Not directed at any one in particular....but for goodness sakes, the airline websites are being overwhelmed! People who aren't flying this week (or month) should stay off the sites! It will allow people needing to get out or to somewhere else to get done what they need to get done.
