Correct. But opening the island is what they need to survive. Can't imagine the amount of lost revenue from both visitors and locals.

This is great news but it is still crucial they stay in some sort of lockdown for the time being - until they know that the island is in the clear and the residents are safe and healthy! As for opening to the outside world- that will not be for some time. Europe and the U.S have a very long way to go before I’m sure the island will want/accept international travel back in. If anything, France recently implemented stricter rules for its citizens. I want to get back myself but this is not the time to rush/force things!!!
