I wonder what happens if someone tests positive? I guess they have to quarantine until they test negative?

Two were crew members, thus proving the point that being tested five days ago means nothing.

If you read the article it says 3 were residents 4 were tourists and 2 crew members.

Yes, what happens in this situation?

What about the people who were on the plane with them?

No idea what happens but if everyone is wearing a mask, should there be any concern?

This is also one of the problems with testing, besides the false negative and false positive results, the test only shows a point in time. A lot can change in 5 days, as shown here.

The CDC just changed it's definition of "close contact", from 15 consecutive minutes closer than 6 feet away from an infected person, to a total of 15 minutes within a 24-hour period. The reason they did this is that an employee at a correctional facility contracted the virus from an asymptomatic inmate who he (or she) only had incidental contact with. Both were wearing masks during this incidental contact.

The 9 cases were not from 1 flight into StMaarten but was the total of cases from when the airport reopened since they closed it down due to government orders in spring.
That says a lot as to the safety measures being taken and mandatory testing either before you arrive or once you had arrived.if you didn’t get test results before coming.
