March 9 I think. Breakfast on lanai planned a rest day. Then decided at noon to drive to Mario’s to make our yearly anniversary reservation for special dinner for Thursday.

Place is a lot smaller than I imagined. And too modern chrome, black decor. As to view limited. Very limited but dinner at night that should not matter. Welcomed by Mario who convinced us to have lunch. There went our restful plans.

We were seated at one of about 10 tables, one with a view of ocean in the far..did I say far? Distance. Nice cliff. Most of resort off limits. He said he now doesn’t have to work as hard because of fewer tables and business is slow.

Hubby had chicken Caesar salad. He said the dressing was the best he’s ever had. I had Greek salad like none I’ve ever had. Rocket greens with tiny olives, small tomatoes, feta cheese and several other ingredients I didn’t recognize. I think one was mango? But it was good. With a glass of wine each bill was $63 gratituty included.

Once in our car hubby asked if we have enough money left to have dinner there...sarcasm ! Dinner tonight will be Sale Pepe. But now a nap.

That is smaller than I would have thought also. No wonder they are saying you need to make a reservation. Enjoy this evening!

No it was February but each year we try to return within the timespan. We always say Mario’s is our anniversary dinner. We honeymooned on SXM .
