Well our Friday will probably be a little boring reading because we did not go anywhere, but here it goes anyway.

Coffee and pastries (we are sooo spoiled) from Express and a walk. Great weather today. Good day for just hanging at our beach (The Belair), which I cannot imagine being any nicer or more convient. It is about 20 steps to the sand from our porch. The water is clean, clear and all sand, no rocks, smooth transition into the deeper water. Funoodles are available for free. Assigned chairs for the duration of the stay. (Oh, and they sanitize the chairs everyday.)

The pool and restaurant are at the end of the building. (And all Divi has to offer at the other end.)

Lunch was homemade baguette sandwichs. We do NOT get bread like this at home. It just doesn't exist.

More swimming and beach time in the afternoon then dinner at The Gingerbread Cafe.

The Gingerbread has a very nice comprehensive menu, something for everybody. We had Shrimp Scampi and Chicken Penne Alfredo. Both very tasty satisfying meals in almost empty restaurant with a fabulous view.

All in all, another wonderful day in Paradise.

After more than 30+ years at the Belair, we envy you. We sold our timeshares and are pleased to now have the option of vacationing anytime of the year. We hope to return to SXM after the pandemic craziness subsides and it may be to the Belair again.

We have been coming to the island over twenty years on and off between other travels. We've stayed at Divi (nice), The Atrium and The Towers and they were all good stays but at this point I cannot imagine coming here and not staying at the in Belair. Friendly, fun, private, convient. It really does have it all. It may not be as glitsy as other resorts but we are not glitsy ourselves so it's all good.

Our first stay back in 1999 was at the Belair. Was enjpyable for us but that second small bedroom was a killer for our guests. That was the year we went for a tour at the Flamingo and bought new construction there.

Good point. It's usually just the two of us but when our daughter joins us that small room is just perfect for her. When it is just the two of us I adopt the second bathroom for myself. Love that walk-in shower.

dolfer--You sound like us at Beachside! We always use the second bathroom shower instead of the one in master, because it is a walk in shower..

And we often stay right at Beachside all day. Relaxation in a nutshell!!

Is here anything else but a walk in shower? Tubs are old school. LOL

The units at Beachside have what I might call a 'half tub' in the master bedroom. It's like maybe 10 inches tall. Back in the day, when people travelled with families with little kids, having a tub was an advantage, I guess.
