Saw a post from Saba that the BVI Spring Regatta is scheduled for March 28-April 3. We're slated to be back then. How busy can we expect it to be? Is there a typical route/area that is busier? Thanks.

Lots of info here. Most events centered around Nanny Cay.

Thanks Jason appreciate the info. This is our first experience with the Regatta. I'll check out the website.

We are going to be in the BVI March 19-April 4. Planning on a week of cruising then the BVI regatta. Last time we did this in 2019 it was fantastic! The regatta is centered at Nanny Cay for docking and parties. Racing takes place in the main passage for the fast boats and around Norman/Peter Islands for the cruising boats. There is also a pre-race that will go to Scrub Island. Currently there are about 40 boats signed up. Numbers should increase as the time gets closer. Overall, though, I would not anticipate any mooring or access issues anywhere except Nanny Cay.

Cheers!

Thanks Variance. I am sure everyone will have a wonderful time! We'll hide up in North Sound and Anegada smile

No need to hide. regatta’s are very localized events. It can be lots of fun to watch the races and the usual SFD anchorages will be fine.

Was thinking maybe of heading to Cooper Island so we can watch the regatta and still have a great place for lunch!
