Haven't been since 2019. But have been many times before. Hoping to get some current info about the beach there as best I can remember as we are getting to go back at end of July.

1. Is the best car route to the Perch parking to go through Orient Village, hang right at end of road by Yellow Sub, then drive behind the shops to get there? I know I did that last time.
2. Two questions of week chair passes from Cedric - How much for how many days? And how do they work - meaning do you have to be in same seat every time or do they give you something to bring with you since you might not know which days you will be there?
3. Is volleyball back there? Seem to disappear intentionally after hurricane...
4. Any prediction on summer numbers? Is family week still an informal time at end of July?
5. Looking at diving with Ocean Explorers in case anyone has any feedback.

Thank you in advance! (BSV and Leisure Pro already reserved.)

!. Yes, that is the way we go since we stay in the village. However, if coming from French Quarter direction, it's easier to turn right on the old road. 2. Weekly passes are not always available, but if you get one you get 7 tags to be used in 10 days. Not sure of the current cost - used to be $100, but daily fees have gone from $20 to $25. 3. No volleyball on Club O beach, but there is a net further up. 4. No longer a family week. Beach was usually filled by 10 when we were there in January. .5. I can't answer

I'm going where the weather suits my clothes.

I bought a weekly pass in April for $150. 2 chairs and an umbrella. You can only get them from Cedric.

Thank you all. Very helpful. Yes - I remember the other road now. Didn't know if it was still good to use.

On volleyball, it was curious to me when it left because it happened quickly. Wondered if that was a covid thing or permit thing or 'just because'...

I will check back in late June about how summer numbers are looking to know when chairs might be filled in the mornings. smile

Just returned. The second road into Club O was closed the entire week we were there. So go through the village. Club O was not crowded and actually very sad to see. Our first trip since Irma. French side still has a long way to go. Love Orient and club O. Restaurants where all wonderful. They need to remove the demolished buildings.

My very unofficial observation of the volleyball activities at the Club O beach since the hurricane is that the epicenter of beach volleyball on Orient beach has migrated to the area just south of Bikini Beach. There have been several times when some games got started since then on Club O beach, but there never seemed to be enough participants to keep the games going. I suppose a lot of the people playing near Bikini Beach didn't want to play "au naturale" or weren't comfortable on that section of the beach. It also seems like the players up by Bikini are considerably younger overall compared to the folks that hang out on Club O beach. I really miss playing at Club O beach...
