Is it true sunset beach bar has closed 🤷‍♂️

If you are referring to the one on Maho it is open.

The restaurant at GCBC may be closed for holiday? Similar name.

Sunset Cafe?

The webcam is working, so I assume that Sunset Beach Bar is open.

Sunset Cafe is at GCBC and I think they were closing for a few days for annual vacation, but I think it is either back open, or open again soon.

As of the day we left, Sunday, Sunset Cafe at GCBC closes at 4:00 PM, but is open for breakfast and lunch. I believe the bar is pen until 8.

You may be thinking of Driftwood boat bar at the other end of Maho Beach.
It has been closed since Fiona went past.
They had some damage even though they took down the roof tarp and boarded up the bar. They are affecting repairs and will reopen.

Good to know they were proactive!! We love that lil place!!! Hands down IMHO, best beach bar on the island!

Working as of 16:19 EDT - and beach is about 50/50 rocks/sand.

Yup....decent amount of sand returned

I noticed that as well. Before, rocks were exposed all the way to Driftwood. Now, beach is coming back. Funny how that works.

Sept 20 to Sept 26. 6 days. Maho Beach.
Storms with a strong south swell take the sand.
After the storms, the usual swell returns with the sand

Just a quick update on the Driftwood Boat Bar on the west end of Maho Beach, they are back to business as usual this weekend serving their rum punches and pizza 🍕🍕
