WestJet pilots have given notice of strike action for May 19th at 3am.

Here in the States most all airlines have given the same notice, Southwest, American, United, to name those I remember hearing on the news. But the news also said doubtful it will happen---just a threat and that out government would step in to stop it.

RonDon-when you say "our government", that equates to the US government. WestJet is a Canadian airline.

Giving a strike notice with a date i(WestJet) s a tad more agressive than workers authorizing a strike (SWA, American, United)

Yes I was saying USA government in the case of US airlines going on strike. I did realize WestJet is Canadian.
