Being fans of the old Last Resort, we had to stop by last week and visit the new version on Bellamy Cay. In a word, we LOVED it! Brian Duff (of BVI Yacht Sales) and his partner(s) have improved and expanded the restaurant. They opened the wall to the backside of the cay and added another bar out there. Great place to sit with your after-dinner drinks and enjoy the evening. The food was excellent, we shared a beef tenderloin and a duck breast entree. Both were well presented and tasted great, as did the seafood ceviche before dinner. They hadn't printed off the wine list when we arrived, no matter, they just invited us to visit their wine cellar room next to the dining room and pick what we wanted. Singing Al was off-island, so they had another musician (Rob) who performed several sets, with many people enjoying dancing to the music. We enjoyed talking with Brian a long time, including learning about his son who is a top-flight Opti competitor. Bottom line, they've done an excellent job of refurbishing the place, the food is excellent, I highly recommend it! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/dine.gif" alt="" />

That's great news for such a unique place. Do you know if they're open on a regular schedule again or best to call?

We were there on a Sunday night. Forgot to ask about their schedule but it seems back to regular nightly dinners instead of the previous owners occasional openings. Just checked their Facebook page and website, and no closing days of the week are mentioned. Like you say, though, always best to call.
