Have they ever been used on St Martin? Just wondered after seeing the recent article on energy in the carib.
Palm springs Ca has several thousand wind machines.
Every time I rent a charter boat at st martin its seems almost too windy.

I've never seen any, but it certainly seems to make sense. We've seen a proliferation of solar farms here in Eastern North Carolina in the past few years.

Solar panel are slowly coming to the island. Lees has quite a few. Really don't know why you don't see more, there is a 4 year payback. The only wind apparatuses I have seen are on the boats.

The renovated part Simpson Bay Resort all the buildings have solar.

Yes, I've seen solar panels on the roofs of some buildings, but those are specific to those buildings. A wind or solar "farm" that creates electricity that is fed into the municipal power system is what I was referring to.

They were actually talking about trying to do a wind farm on the french side, not that long ago, including putting windmills on, I think, Tintamarre, among other places. Not sure what happened with it, as I have not heard anything about it recently.
