Our incredible adventure will take us first North then South during our second week. Ward loved his navionics he downloaded onto our iPad....what good is an electric chart in the nav station down below. ...we had lots of paper charts too but this was very comforting to have, especially on our free sail days.
....this was our route over the two week period.

We choose the Dodecanese area to explore this time for more sporty winds. We are used to the consistent trade winds of BVI sailing and found last year in the Peloponnese area of Greece kinda boring sailing frankly .....well we had a few fun sporty days with 25-35 but many other days we could not even raise the sails...

Lots of folks trying to catch some wind

.oh well not complaining ...at least we avoided the dreaded meltimi. The group the previous week spent 3 days in Kos because of 80 knot winds....no thanks . I guess we will have to settle for calm water ....the beer was called Mythos....and it was yummy

stopped and drifted for an incredible swim in the blue blue water of the Aegean. 800 feet below us...so,refreshing . I was nervous so had a line on a life jacket for security ....did not need it. it's so salty a rock could float.

Caught a breeze for a little sail.....

Briefing every morning before departure provides great guidance.
Our destination for the day is a small secluded bay for a raft up

Lovely photos Kim.

Sailing in the Med.... Three weeks of dead calm followed by a gale is the usual story. Generally the wind does get up in the afternoon and then quietens down in the evening.

Once again beautiful photos, looking forward to Patmos. We had problems with the wind too, either on the nose or none at all; Dan said we burned more fuell in 5 weeks than they did in 10 months on the World ARC
