Club Ambiance in Runaway Jamaica ia a PRIZE and we hit the JACKPOT. We spent 10 wonderful days at this small, all adult, all-inclusive, on the beach hotel. And we paid about 1/2 the price we would have had we gone to one of the larger AI's. All the rooms are large, fully a/c, tile floors, ocean views with balconeys or patios, comfortable beds and satellite tv's. Food is EXCELLENT with a pleasant mix of Continental, Ethnic and Local cuisines. It's plentiful and fresh! Even our pickiest eater didn't complain. Service is as good or better than most Caribbean resorts! The beach is small, but adequate and clean (as is the entire facility.) The pool is large and well maintained. There are lots of loungers throughout the facility and we never felt crowded. The shaded area with hammocks was a favorite hangout for our group of 11, spanning 3 generations. Snorkle equipment, kayaks and paddleboats, and beach towels are provided for guests 3 bars offered a wide variety of mixed drinks, beers,frozen tropical, EVERYTHINGS, and BIG smile from the staff! There is an activites staff that will keep you active and entertained or you can just sit back and relax (no pressure). The daily volley ball games on the beach seemed to keep many entranced!! The hotel's house band and a Disco, as well as various other nightly entertainment, kept the younger folks entertained. Some of the older and more romatic of our group spent hours on the pier watching shooting stars and satellites! Also offered are daily escorted bike rides, excercise classes, a small gym, SCUBA, various tours through the tour desk in the lobby, a games rooms with pool, table tennis, slot machines, a large TV, darts and various board games. In the lobby there is a small boutique, a gift/sundries shop, a beauty shop offering massages, hair braiding etc., and JUTA approved taxi drivers are available at the hotel. Also a twice daily shuttle to Ocho Rios for $US10.00 pp round trip. We felt comfortable and welcomed in Runaway Bay. We took several walks to the Supermarket and visited the pattie shop and took long, leisurely walks down secluded stretches of pristine beaches. We found our little spot of Heaven in Runaway Bay, Jamaica.
