Does anyone know of a link where I can get a dutch side carnival event schedule for April? The official St. Martin website doesn't give much info. Thanks! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/handshake.gif" alt="" />

The most accurate information is on the official Facebook page for the carnival which can be found here:

They also have an app available for your phone and tablet. It is available in both the Apple and Android App stores.

Since over a billion people around the world log in to Facebook every day, it's likely to be a safe bet that the OP is on there too.....

Could be, but the assumption that everyone is on Facebook is incorrect..

I don't think anyone is assuming that everyone is on Facebook, and I truly don't understand your objection to it being mentioned here, since so many people do use it. Shoot, everyone doesn't have an iPhone or a tablet either, but there's no objection to the mention of the app for those devices.

I see lots of posts here that don't pertain to me, but I just ignore them and move on. That's what's so great about an internet forum; the reader can choose what to read and what to pass by.

As I said, the problem is that everyone ASSUMES that everyone is on Facebook.

Well, I don't agree. If someone wants information, and the best place to find it is on Facebook, which seems to be the case in this particular instance, then suggesting that the poster look for it there seems appropriate. If they're not on Facebook, then they can ask for another place to find the information. In this case, the OP is on Facebook, so the link was helpful to him.

I just don't think that suggesting Facebook as a place to find information assumes that everyone is on there; it's just offering an option for those who are.

Purely out of curiosity can we do a poll to see how many are on Facebook and how many aren't??

I'm on FB and I appreciate any info from any source. I can be the judge whether to accept or reject the source. It's great to have that option.
