I just got approved for Global Entry. My husband doesn't have it. I know he can't come through the GE line with me. Does this also mean we have to fill out separate customs forms, even though we're in the same household? (Sorry...I know this isn't specific to SXM. But I will be using GE for the first time when we fly back from the island on Tuesday. )

And PS: there is no info about this on the Customs website that I could find.

Based on our last two trips home from SXM, one in December and then last April, we had to fill out the forms but no one collected them either trip at JFK. Said they were being phased out?

Respectfully,

The forms are done on the computer kiosks at most entry points these days. But we will have a couple of items to declare so I'm a little confused about how this is handled if we don't enter together.

Having GE doesn't mean you have to use it. If you think it would be easier, go through the regular lanes together. You'll still be waiting for your luggage together afterward so no benefit to you going through GE by yourself.

Each person can bring up to $800 worth of stuff. You can be the one to declare all the stuff(if it's less than $800) and your husband can declare nothing.
