Last night we had dinner at Fig in Maho. I really like the new location.

[Linked Image]

I hope that they will survive there, although I know that the rent has to be sky high, compared to where they were before...

I started off with a special broccoli soup, which is one of my favorite things in the world..

[Linked Image]

Eric had the mahi mahi with a sesame sauce

[Linked Image]

I had the small Fig salad with grilled chicken..

Neither of us were super hungry, so that did it for dinner. We had a lovely meal, with wonderful service, and a nice rum and kahlua shot for afters.. Nice..

Had a long conversation with randy. Rent isn't bad and they did all the interior work themselves. He and his partner are very talented. His partner did all the feathered costumes on display. They were used in the carnival. Randy had my wife put on the headdress and wings that were on the black mannequin and took pictures. What a treat.

OK, glad to hear that about the rent. I would have thought the rent there would have been outrageous.

It was good, and the right amount, after the soup. Neither one of us wanted a big meal.

Other side of the street. If you're standing in front of Casino Royale, it's just to your right and upstairs.

Yes, park in the garage there and take the elevator to 1 and the door is right there.

Carol,

Not to second guess you, and I could definitely be wrong about this, but I thought FIG was on the second floor and the first floor was the lobby area. Again, could be mistaken....and in any event, I'm really glad you liked it.

I think it's European floor numbering. The lobby is the ground floor, what WE call the first floor, but the next floor up, they call the first floor.. I think..
