TTOL Member #1?

I suspect that Eric or Carol might know the answer as they are listed as #3 and #5 starting 15 years ago.

Number 1 was created as an administrator account. Eric and I started this board, yes.

This then begs the question, "who is #2?"

I remember the day Eric and Carol turned the "new" board on... They enabled new registrations at Noon Eastern...

Number 2 was another dummy admin account.

We wondered at the time how many registrations we would get. As I recall, there were over 300 within the first 24 hours!!

Ruralcarrier and I although we were signed up in the beginning got our logins messed up and now we have later dates <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/jester.gif" alt="" /> as I write this I'm thinking of all the people we don't hear from anymore some I miss some I don't miss so much <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/duh.gif" alt="" />

I was early. Though I think I was lower number than 73.

Well i remember when we were members together at the old travel talk...i remember when Eric and carol bought it and i rejoined their new travel talk. I don't say a lot....but i have been here since the beginning as well. I am not seeing the numbers you are talking about but i know my join date is August 15...so if it went public AUGUST 14 i was in at the beginning.

Sorry, no, we don't have amy records, other than what appears here. But as I said, there were I think about 300 people who registered within the first DAY, so anything below about 300 was in the first day, for sure..

Wow, no wonder I read this board so much to gather my valuable information. You "old" members (most of who are younger than I am) have so much to share. My joining date was 1/8/2008 and I was # 20,124!!! I can say that without this board I probably would have only made one trip to SXM because I sure would not have known all the treasures on the Island to explore, visit and fine resturants. Still visiting yearly and have next years already booked. Thanks to all the low number members before me that added to my vacations.

The very best thing about this forum, for us, is the lifelong friends we met here.

Have to agree with GaKaye that the friends are the most amazing. Practically everyone we visit and travel with outside of our family friends we met in SXM. When people ask why we keep going back I say "go to same beach at he same time of year and you will see the same people". I have seen the world many times over but home away from home is + or minus 200 feet from the Perch. Secondary considerations are the simply amazing restaurants in every shape and form and the fact that it is easy to get to.
