Cugini restaurant - 03/02/2017 08:49 PM

Friends are thinking of going there for dinner. Has anyone been there this year? Have read mixed reviews in prior years.

We have been there recently as have friends of ours. The food is very good---but the service is with a little bit of an attitude.

We have been there twice in May and January. In May we had the seafood pasta dish, that we loved. When we went back in January there were different cooks and the seafood dish was terrible. The pasta was loaded with broken mussel shells to the point of being inedible. They used to have women doing the cooking and the food was great, not the case anymore. We'll try them again this May and hope our last visit was just a fluke. I always thought their food was great.

i realize my error saying that I thought it was closed. It's Tutta Pasta that is closed. Sorry to mislead.

You may also want to try Luna Rosa across from Toppers, food and service is great. I have tried Sal-Pepe, the wait staff was very rude, food just ok.

I believe Matteo from Il Nettuno is going back there to sing.
