Passing of David Gozal

It was reported on FB by Bob Barron that his singing partner in the group Cover 2 Cover David Gozal, has passed away during surfing on July 9.

Very sorry, David was very talented and a really nice guy.

That's awful news but thanks Norm for letting us know.

I saw that on Club O's facebook post. So sad. He was our favorite performer at Papagayo.

So sorry to hear this. David was a great guy and brought us hours & hours of pleasure over our many nights at Papagayo. Every time my wife and I returned to Club O, he would personally greet us and assure us that "Brown Eyed Girl" & "I Swear" would be on that nights playlist. Sorry to hear it. Bob and Dave sang together for years at Pelican. When Bob Started to sing alone, Dave was sorely missed. Peace be with you Dave.

Yes he was. For us, "Red, Red Wine" at Papagayo will never be the same again.

Okay, thanks. He entertained us twice during our spring visit. He was very good!

Even sadder that the child's mother is also deceased. I hope he has other family on the island.
