Jardin D'O - 03/07/2018 06:34 PM

Does anyone have any knowledge of a place called Jardin d'o. They have five studios, on the French side. Looks good on the web. Thinking of booking for Xmas & New Years. Any info would be great .

There is a mention of it by Chiefg in the nude resort forum, page 4. I have never been there, but also thought it looked pretty good.

It is on Rue du Mont Vernon, down the road from Sol e Luna. We used to pass it by when we stayed at Hotel Mont Vernon years ago, when it still functioned as a resort hotel (though less and less so as the years passed by, which is why the poorly-run joint finally was converted into multi-family housing.)

Never stopped by Jardin d'Orient to check it out. Really quite a hike from the beach; walking to and from it would give you one heck of a workout. Virtually all the hotels in the immediate vicinity have been closed for years and converted into residential housing.

As I recall, it did not appear to have all that many units and I wouldn't exactly call it a resort--maybe a small collection of bungalows would be more accurate. I am completely unaware that it is clothing optional. Never came across any such description of it. I'm sure I would have encountered someone who had stayed there for that reason sooner or later over the years. We've only been going to SXM since '95 and have parked ourselves on the beach near Papagayo. Never once heard anyone mention Jd'O as a CO facility. And we know dozens and dozens of friends who daily populate the Club O beach area during February. So I'm sure someone would have talked or asked about it, since so many knew (years ago) that we were staying in the vicinity. It is certainly possible that it is a new policy, however.

It is CO. Sounds something like Club Fantastico

My wife and I are here now at Jardin d’O. It is not located near Sol e Luna but up the hill from the butcher shop on Rue du Jardin - Mont Vernon 3 in a gated community. This is our second visit to Jardin d’O and would highly recommend it to any couple. It is clothing optional and only nudity is required around the beautiful large infinity swimming pool.
The couple that own Jardin d’O are so nice and helpful. Lionel and Lydia first came to St. Martin from Brittany in 2001 and came every year until 2013 when they started the clothing optional resort. There are 5 units on the private grounds. We stayed in Pink last year which had a king bed and small kitchen. It had its own hot tub on the deck outside. We are now in the cottage which is the largest of the accommodations. It is like a small villa with a separate bathroom and living room. The very large kitchen is outdoors under a roof with stove, full size refrigerator , microwave and a lot of appliances. It has a large deck with lounges under cover and out from under the roof. And a very large hot tub.
The grounds are covered with plants and Palm trees and wasn’t too affected by Erma. Any damage to the buildings have been repaired. They have a high occupancy rate because it is so nice and other accommodations in the area are so limited. It would be wise to make your reservations early. Enjoy.

If nudity is "required" it is not clothing optional

I actually don't think that's unusual to have nudity required at the pool (only).
