Great pictures. In one restaurant photo a man at your right back to camera has a T shirt "I'm on island time." Hubby said "Hey, that man stole my shirt!" I have to take it away from him or he'd wear it every day.

Saw many pictures on Simpson Bay. Were you staying there? If so, where at? We are staying at Mary's Boon this month, but been over 10 years since being on SXM

I tried not to eat as many of those delicious croissants on this trip , but they are hard to resist. If you want the best ones when you visit this month go to Jules Bakery in Jordon Village near the medical center. Their products are all delicious!

Thanks for the tip. I may have to try them in several locations, for research purposes of course.

Love the shots. Though we stay in Maho, we did hit El Zafiro and I walked by BSV. Thank you for sharing.

Jordan Village is the name of the area by the medical university. It is also the location of the new Carrefour which is a great grocery store and all very close to Maho. There are a few restaurants right there too. That is the location of Bar Code. Be sure to go and enjoy the food there.

Sorry to hear you are not feeling well Terry. Hope things work out for you in Nov and I get to see you there. Most of my friends arrive mid Nov so hope you will be there later this time as you departed just when I arrived last time. Wish I had some Jules pastry today.😊

Allison, those pics were from the Parotte Ville Bird Sanctuary, a must see while you are there.

Allison, if you refer to my trip report posted a few days ago, you will find a description of Parotte Ville and the details of my visit there. It is located in Belvedere on the French side of the island.

Thanks! Sorry, I missed that one. We were going to go to the zoo, but found out it was closed. This would be a great substitute.

THAT GUY IS ME!!!! smile Love MY shirt too!! That was a great night too - Facebook get-together with admission being a present for SXM orphan children. So many brought so much!!

And funny/sad thing about that shirt - I've got many T's from other islands that are great shirts. Like you said - ones that a guy wants to wear every day! Ones where people come up to you and share a laugh or laugh with ya. I can't ever find any original or fun ones like that in SXM. One of the unfilled voids in SXM shopping.

Hi Island Gem (Elizabeth) - I really enjoyed reading your report and especially the photos. I’ve read your reports for years and always thought they were the best. So glad that you had a good time and was able to hold a celebration in honor of your husband’s life while you were in SXM.

Sincerely...Cathy

ps - we met briefly at the Dunes a couple of years ago - nice that it’s still there and you were able to do some gambling close to Beachside.

Pps - Happy Birthday!
