Poor Stranded Passengers πŸ˜‰ - 06/17/2019 10:42 PM

JetBlue from Fort Lauderdale made it to SXM today but it is parked on the apron and isn't shown as leaving today. The return flight is listed as delayed.

Jet Blue, AA, Delta and others all have their day.

The JetBlue plane that has been stuck on the island for 2 days, finally just took off.

Correct. JetBlue is not the "darling" many people make them out to be. They are not immune to weather, mechanical issues or everyday issues the other airlines face. Never flown JetBlue personally but I have had both good and bad experiences on AA and Delta. To me, the bottom line is HOW they deal with the problem.

Good to hear they treated you well. Not an option for me unless I drive 4 hours to Cleveland.

They are a darling. We did a survey of FAVORITE and LEAST FAVORITE U. S. airlines serving SXM. Jet Blue in a landslide won FAVORITE and AA got LEAST FAVORITE. I've flown a lot of miles on AA, JB, and DL. I think DL is great but now I fly mostly JB. I would not care at all if I never flew AA again, and a big plurality of people who took my survey agree that AA sucks.

Yes, and it makes you ponder why, as they are now scheduled to take off at 10:00am tomorrow. It’s not the same physical plane from 4 or 5 days ago.

It would be nice if you could plan your vacation in advance knowing that you are going to be delayed by a day and the airline is picking up your accommodations.

OK, very weird. The past week has been a difficult one for airlines to SXM. Jet Blue before, then AA from Charlotte cancelled, Delta delayed coming into SXM, resulting in many people missing their connections from Atlanta, and now again a Jet Blue issue.

Lots of serious wearther not just in the heartland but east coast too causing many delays. SXM not the only destination affected.

Last week we had some horrible storms in Florida. Believe me, I wouldn't want to fly into one.
