Amazing picture of Saba!! Regarding the ocean being dead flat calm, we were on a cruise the week that Luis hit SXM. We were supposed to go to SXM and STT and of course, we were diverted to the Western Caribbean instead. I remember when we were leaving Grand Cayman, the ocean was just dead flat calm, except for the waves generated by our passing. It was spooky, the calmest water we had ever seen while at sea. We speculated at the time that Luis had sucked all the energy out of the basin. I have no idea whether we were right then, or you are right now. I sincerely hope the CALM continues for SXM for the rest of this hurricane season and beyond!

OMG! That is beautiful. Ty for posting it......
Wish Bill had gotten some last night. Islands so clear, flat water and a beautiful sunset. Saba has since landed back on the horizon.

FANTASTIC PICS of Saba. I am reasonable with photography, so I thought, but that is superb. Puts me to shame. What camera, magnification and from where did you take this pls? It appears from a boat and nearby as the detail is stunning.
From our balcony in Cupecoy. Kodak Pixpro with 90X lens

90x and detail no wobble? Good camera? Kodak not known for quality!
All depends who is using it.
He's had Kodaks for years, they work for him. It has an anti wobble thingy.

We used to look out at Saba from Royal Islander and joke that they towed it in place each day. Some days you would see it, some not.
It's our Brigadoon! She hides behind Sahara Dust quite frequently. We sometimes don't see her for months.

Yeah, the only bummer is that the Sahara Dust helps to prevent hurricanes..
It's a little scary when you can get such clear pictures. Happy it's a bit hazy today.
