JetBlue from Ft. Lauderdale

JetBlue from Ft. Lauderdale - 04/22/2020 11:10 PM

Scheduled to fly from Ft. Lauderdale to SXM on May 9 with a return on May 16th. I know this flight is not going anywhere, yet I continue to get change of flight times. On another site, someone who was flying out of Ft. Lauderdale 2 weeks later had their flight already cancelled. Why would a later in the month flight be canceled already, yet mine is still saying we are a go? I do not want to cancel ahead of time since I do not want a voucher at this point, waiting for them to make the call.

Wondering if anyone else out there is in the same situation with JetBlue?

JetBlue seems to be doing a lot of weird stuff with their schedule. Our flight From JFK isn’t until July, but this week they flipped the time slots for their two flights that day. I wouldn’t be shocked at all of the flight two weeks later than yours was cancelled for some reason other than that SXM is closed.

Have you tried calling JetBlue? If you happen to get a decent agent, they may be able to take care of your situation.

Jet Blue canceled our May 16 flight out of Boston this morning. We had already canceled accommodations and just hadn’t taken the time to do flights. They had previously canceled our flight back to FLL on May 26. I think they are just trying to manage an enormous logistics nightmare.
carib cheers

As JD suggested, why don't you call Jet Blue? You might check several other dates and see the status of those dates, and be prepared with that information. Just be clear with them that YOU are not cancelling and you do not want a voucher.

We had reservations in three weeks on JetBlue from FLL to ATL. I got an email this morning, that they cancelled that flight. Of course, we already were planning not going to Atlanta at this time. In the email, they had a link, which brought us right to the cancellation page....and I was surprised to see that we had a choice on banking the money spent to be used in the next 24 months...or...full refund on the card or paypal that we used. Easy Peasy.... Also, received our credit card statement, and was surprised to see our return flight from March, which they did not honor refunded to our credit card. At the time of the cancellation, they insisted that it would ONLY be put in our JB account. Still not ready to ''forgive'' JB for the treatment we got while ON the island...but glad to see that they seem to be ''upping their game'' again in regards to customer service. I guess time will tell.

Ed--glad to hear that Jet Blue has finally stepped up, but due to the announcement from the DOT, they didn't have a huge amount of choice.
