Not good. While we never had the need to fly them they provided vital connections between islands.

They wont be the last by far.

Boeing has said one of our big airlines could disappear.

I think we are going to see a tectonic shift backwards in the travel/cruise/airline industry.

A lot more to come , very rough times ahead for most of us.

This is not surprising but breaks my heart. People can say what they want about Liat and it was pretty poorly run, but it always got me (eventually) and my luggage (sometimes) safely to wherever I was going. Caribbean islands needs more cohesion not isolation from one another. Liat provided an important service. I hope OneCaribbean steps up.

Liat was having problems long before Covid 19 popped up.

Good one. Many extinct airlines had “funny” acronyms.

Anybody for TWA = ?, NW=? USAIR=?

The Bookmakers have the best odds on American not only going bankrupt but leaving the skies. $33B in debt and all other ratios worse than their competitors.

Hope not, have lots of miles to burn.

Absolutely great names. Did you make these up or were they commonly used? Hats off if you made them up.

And it was Piedmont at some point, either before or after Allegheny. I'll be honest, we flew all the predecessors of American and never had a problem. Since they became a part of AA, I can't say the same.

Silver, if they can price at a profit and not at a loss, will be the best choice. No airline can prosper at losing prices.

Yes, we as well. Someone will eventually pick up the pieces and start flying again. They might even honor your FF miles.

I booked mine for next May with AA miles. Not a problem. Did First class.
