Welcome - great site. Tons of useful information. Just remember much of it is based upon individual's experiences - you may have a different experience. Please share yours!

Hello Amish nudists. We too have been traveling to SXM for over 20 years and are also from Amish country. Live near the Walmart on the Fruitville Pike. We stay in Orient Village and love Orient Beach. We have missed our last two visits due to the virus. Will try to head back in April if possible. Where do you stay. Perhaps we can meet you for a meal in April or visit with you at Club Orient.

Love your login name! Although I suppose it is a bit of an oxymoron. Where do you park your buggies on Orient Beach? Your login name brings back memories of a Florida vacation that my wife were on about four years ago near Sarasota. We spent the day on the beach at Siesta Key, and while walking along the sea shore sure enough there was a true contingent on Amish folk on the beach. The men actually had their shirts off while soaking in some rays (hope they used some sunscreen), while the women and children were in full amish attire -- both in the water and out. Those solid color dresses the women were wearing had to weigh a ton when saturated with sea water, but they were having a great time nonetheless. I did ask one of the men where I could get some good amish cooking in the area and they directed us to Yoder's Amish restaurant in Sarasota and it was terrific. It was no 'Shady Maple', but the fried chicken and shoo fly pie were outstanding. You'll enjoy participating in this board. I've learned much from the people on here and their knowledge of SXM from their years of experience. Welcome aboard!

biglar- We live a few miles south of Willow Street. We want to book for this April but could be May. We have friends going in mid April staying in a villa in Anse Marcell and friends going in mid May and staying somewhere in the village. At this point I don't know what to do.
With all the uncertainty I don't have a specific plan. We stayed at Club O for 17 years, twice at Mt Vernon and once in the village.
