2 Tests

2 Tests - 10/15/2021 08:49 PM

Hello All ,
So my wife and I are going to take both covid tests this year (PCR test and Rapid ) just to play it safe . Trying to make sure we have a better chance to get to SXM on time
this Nov. Don't want the same thing to happen to us that happened last year and miss a couple days of our trip . ( Long Story ) So we are sch. a PCR test 3 days before we leave
and a rapid test 2 days before we leave . Just wanted to know if anyone else has done this ?
If we were to get both tests back on time should I summit both results independently to the EHAS site to make extra sure we are approved ?
Thanks Jeff _C

I would just do the one which ever you get back first.

No - do not send both, that will just confuse the situation even more. One test is sufficient. Depending on where you live, Wallgreens in my opinion is your best bet - get the IDNow test which is a NAAT test (handled the same as a PCR) but its quick. Results can come in within hours. That gives you plenty of time to get uploaded to EHAS.

As kim stated, do NOT send both results. They deny enough (for no apparent reason) when just one result is sent, sending two would just add to the ongoing confusion.

I am going to schedule both but hope to have my ID NOW results before the appointment for my rapid antigen, which is at a clinic that charges for travel-related testing. If I do get my results timely, I will cancel the clinic appointment.

Hope it goes smoothly for you .

Exactly what I did...had CVS antigen test on backup... but we ended up getting the ID NOW test, results, and EHAS pre-approval all within 4 hours. Good to go!
