EHAS Approval

EHAS Approval - 10/21/2021 09:27 PM

Starting a new thread, since my answer got lost in the other post.

I just tried applying to EHAS, but it didn't work. (after Nov 1st ruling of no testing)
It said 3 days prior to departure.

Maybe this will change if they update.

They probably won't change the site until the last day....or later

Terry aren’t you outside the 3-5 days before arrival?

David and I filled out EHAS at 11a and received pre authorization by 1 pm. We arrive Saturday.

I was doing what Boucharda was saying.
Since we don't have to be tested, I tried submitting my approval, to enter SXM, with my vaccination card.

Have a great time---happy everything went smoothly for you guys.

We arrive on Tuesday the 2nd. Does the 3 days include the weekend??? So we should apply on Saturday? Please don't be annoyed if this was answered before...

Re: EHAS Approval - 10/25/2021 02:09 PM

If you are vaccinated, can you do the EHAUS application anytime before the trip?

Re: EHAS Approval - 10/25/2021 10:37 PM

That's what "The Lurker" is trying to find out

Re: EHAS Approval - 10/26/2021 03:27 AM

EHAS form is still only letting you process for 3 days or less prior to departure, just did another test run

Re: EHAS Approval - 10/26/2021 04:19 AM

As it should be.

Why is that as it should be? Vaccinations are good for longer than 3 days lol.
It would be nice to be able to take care of something on the to do list a week or two ahead of time.

Not sure if this is the right thread, but: What is the consensus of having proof of your vaccine card?

You must carry the original.
Bring original just in case, leave in room safe while trying the options below.
Leave original card at home, use photo on your phone.
Leave original card at home, use paper photo copy.
Leave original card at home and use an app, which app?

Re: EHAS Approval - 10/26/2021 03:05 PM

For me it's bring original, leave in safe and carry a copy along with photo on phone.

Same here

Re: EHAS Approval - 10/26/2021 04:43 PM

Bring original and leave it in the safe with my passport. Make a physical copy to carry with me, as well as a copy on my phone.

Re: EHAS Approval - 10/26/2021 04:56 PM

I think I would bring the original and leave in the safe with my passport. Carry a paper copy, and /or photo on phone. If the original gets damaged or lost, you can always get another at the place where you originally got your vaccine.

I'm sure our state tracks and prints out something equivalent, but, the card with the actual vial stickers won't be able to be duplicated.
My phone usually stays in the safe too, so I think I will print out a bunch of copies in case they get destroyed or lost and grab a copy each time on the way out the door!

Ugh, but I need ID to go along with it? Begs the next question:

Carry around passport
Keep passport in room safe and carry drivers license.
Keep both in the room safe and carry around photo copies.

I'm not used to carrying anything but cash and the occasional credit card if out shopping.

I would think a copy of your drivers license wouldn't cut it if you were stopped....unless you are a passenger. I. NEVER take my passport out of the safe. License, one CC, and some cash..and now...a copy of my vac card on my phone

Re: EHAS Approval - 10/26/2021 08:01 PM

Passport stays in safe along with a copy. Driver license with me at all times. Some merchants want some form of ID on purchases with CC. I wish more people asked for it.

We carry original drivers license, original ID (required of residents). Passport in safe along with vaccine cards, but will make a copy to walk with at some point as it has not been needed yet. One of these days I'll get someone to show me how to get it on my phone.

We used to carry copies of our licenses, and were stopped on the French side once. The gendarmes didn't mention that it was a copy, may not have even realized it was.
